Danny and Liz Thibeault were married in a breathtakingly beautiful summer ceremony at Fruitland's Museum. Stan stood up as best man.

You may see more photos of their wedding at www.thibeaultwedding.com

The day couldn't have been sunnier or more beautiful.

Today is Danny Thibeault and Liz's wedding at Fruitlands. Stan will be standing up with Dan as best man. We drove up to Lunenburg last night for the rehearsal dinner and met Liz's family members and friends. It's a glorious day. Maybe we'll hear echoes of Bronson Alcott's pontifications during quite points in the ceremony.

Cooper's photo and bio have been put up on the Hyannis Sound site thanks to Paul's html skills. So go check out the updates!

The big 'ole United moving van pulled away from 90 Sudbury Road this morning. All that remains with the Stevens are contained in their four individual duffle bags, packed for the drive down to Atlanta.

Bailey looks woeful.:

Nancy and I are reasonably convinced that there is NO way the van will hold everything for their excursion (with Bailey) to Atlanta. Plus Nancy has plants she plans to transport as well. The saga continues. I vote for rental of a luggage carrier to go on the top but it remains to be seen if they can pack it all in. Maybe if everyone jumps on the rear gate. Eight days until Atlanta move-in.

Grant is in day two of the wisdom tooth surgery. Still a little bleeding, some swelling, not much pain. But he feels nauseous and dizzy when he gets up or sits up. Laura brought him "piggy" to comfort him and it's obviously working:

Grant's wisdom tooth surgery

Today was round two of Grant's wisdom tooth extraction saga. The April surgery was aborted almost immediately after it began when Grant had to be revived with an injection of adrenaline. Today he did marvelously after having four impacted teeth removed. He's actually an extremely good patient. It was a long and difficult surgery. Afterwardsm Dr. Gelsinon described Grant's lower teeth in this way: "...they were down to his ankles." (they were pretty low in his jaw!) Grant's girlfriend Laura (who will be studying nursing at University of Rhode Island next year) is here to comfort and assist. Here's day one:

Departures June 2004

On Saturday, we wished Nancy and Bill well on their move to Atlanta. Joe and Deb surprised them with the gift of a Telechron clock! Ashland is where Henry Warren invented the and manufactured the first electric clock. Although they've not been made for many years, Deb managed to snag one on eBay. We all enjoyed the photo album assembled by the Eilers, too. It documented gatherings and events we've experienced together since the 1970s. I added a few pix as well. Here's Nancy in the southern belle accoutrements to prepare her for Georgia living:

Mom flew home to Oregon yesterday. She had been visiting for 6 weeks. All she did was WORK ! ! ! :

Grant and Laura's Cotillion June 3, 2004

Grant and Laura joined their senior class for a dinner cruise on board the Odyssey out of Boston's harbor.

The two of them were most elegant as we photographed them before they left for the event.

June 15th trip to Newport (click HERE for photos)

Mom and I took a trip to Newport RI where we visited the Breakers, and the Elms built for Mr. and Mrs. Edward Julius Berwind of Philadelphia and New York.

Summer 2004

On June 6, Grant graduated from Ashland High School with the Class of 2004. Senior Class historian and member of the National Honor Society, Grant is pictured here with his brother Cooper.

Mother is visiting from Oregon. She's here from May 6th through June 20. Nancy and Bill are preparing to move to Atlanta so we are gathering this weekend to wish them well.
